Team profile

Trentino Volley

Trentino Volley are by far the most successful side in the history of the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship, having won the title a total of four times.
However, the Italian club, founded in 2000 and based in the city of Trento in the northeast of the country, only managed a bronze in 2013, were knocked out during pool play in 2014 (ending up 5th) and missed out on the 2015 edition of the competition.
Trentino won four successive FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship titles between 2009 and 2012 - all in Doha.
Trentino have also won three European Champions League titles and finished runners-up to Russia’s Zenit Kazan in the latest edition, going down in five sets in the 2016 final in Krakow.
They have won the Italian League title four times, the Italian Cup three times and the Italian Supercup twice. They ended up with no titles in the 2015-16 season, despite playing in the finals of the Champions League and the domestic Cup and Supercup competitions. In the A1 League, Trentino finished 3rd.

Coach

Lorenzetti Angelo

Lorenzetti Angelo

Trentino Volley appointed Angelo Lorenzetti in 2016. He replaced Radostin Stoytchev, who led Trentino to second place in the 2016 edition of the European Champions League. The Italian has enjoyed a successful career as a coach with a number of clubs in his country, including Padova, Piacenza and Modena.
