Leal joined Sada Cruzeiro in 2012/13 and has won numerous titles. He was twice a club world champion (2015 and 2013) and a runner-up in Qatar (2012), was voted MVP in 2015 and best outside hitter in 2013. He was also twice a South American champion (2016 and 2014) and a runner-up in (2015), and was chosen as the MVP of the competition in 2016 and best outside hitter in the other two editions. He is a triple champion of the Super League (2013/14, 2014/15 and 2015/16) and a runner-up (2012-13), the best striker in 2013/14 and 2012/13 and the best final player in 2015/16 and 2014/15. He is a champion of the Supercopa (2015), a two-time champion of the Copa Brasil (2016 and 2014), a champion of the Irvine-USA tournament (2014) and a Mineiro champion (2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015). He was one of the main players of the Cuban team in recent years and was the best server of the 2010 World League. In the same year, he was the second best World Cup striker, when Cuba were runners-up losing to Brazil in the final.
