Brazilian giant Renan started playing in Praia Clube, in his hometown
Uberlandia. Versatile, he has played as a middle-blocker (winning 2009 Junior World
Championship with Brazil, being also the best blocker on the competition) but his main position is opposite. At the national team Renan was an option to both positions in 2014 FIVB World Championship in Poland, and also played at the 2015 Pan-American Games, winning the silver medal.
