Social media wrap: Sada Cruzeiro celebrate topping the world

 

Sada Cruzeiro players mark their success with a selfie on the podium

Betim, Brazil, October 26, 2016 – Brazil once again showed that it knows how to throw a volleyball party when it welcomed the world’s leading eight teams to the Minas Tenis Clube Arena for six days of incredible volleyball action at the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship. 

Sada Cruzeiro delighted the home town fans by claiming the trophy with Zenit Kazan winning silver and Trentino, bronze. 
For the Brazilians victory completed a hat-trick of Club World Championship titles.


The club were quick to update their own social media accounts, with photos galore of their success in Betim.




The Brazilians didn't hang around in the final and beat Zenit Kazan 3-0 (25-21, 25-23, 25-15).


It was an early start for the Zenit Kazan fans, who had to rise early in the morning to watch the match. 


Trentino left Brazil with smiles on their faces after they beat Argentine side Bolivar in the bronze medal match. 


Sada Cruzeiro captain William Arjona had two reasons to smile at the end of the tournament.

Not only did he have a winner's medal in his hand, but he was then named tournament MVP for performances. 


William led the way in the team of the tournament, which featured players from four different teams and four from Sada Cruzeiro.
