Pool play rematch, this time for bronze

Betim, Brazil, October 23, 2016 - A few days after Trentino defeated Bolívar at FIVB Men's Club World Championship Pool B in four sets, these two teams meet again to decide who will step onto the podium on this 2016 edition.

Although it is the third time these teams face each other at World Champs, it's the first one on knock-out rounds. The two games before, both at pool play, went for Trentino 3-1, in Doha 2010 and this same current edition.

Bolívar
- It is the 10th match of Bolívar at the competition, currently holding a 4-5 win-loss record.
- They already played a bronze medal match in 2010, when they lost in the hands of Iran's Paykan Tehran 3-2 after leading 2-0.
- They haven't won a medal so far as their only previous participation was a 4th place earned in Doha 2010.

Trentino Diatec
- Their only presence so far at a bronze medal game happened in 2013 and they were victorious, against another Argentinean team - 3-1 over UPCN.
- The semifinalloss against Zenit Kazan was their fourth ever at Club World Champs. Previously, they had only lost against UPCN from Argentina, Russia's Lokomotiv Novosibirsk (both in 2013) and Qatar's Al-Rayyan (2014).
- Their overall record at the competition now stands at 28-4 on win-loss numbers.
