Betim, Brazil, October 19, 2016 - The only two Argentina teams to have ever competed in FIVB Club World Championships clash in home classic on Brazilian soil, with scores to settle.
Last season the two sides met seven times in the Argentina A1 League, with UPCN overwhelming Bolivar 5-2, including taking the best-of-five final series for the title with three wins to two.
They also clashed twice at the 2016 South American Club Championship in Taubate, with Bolivar winning in straight sets in pool play, but UPCN taking the bronze medal match also in three sets.
FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship Betim 2016 - TeamsBolivar- Bolivar return to the FIVB Club World Championship for second time, since finishing 4th in 2010 in Doha, losing in the bronze medal game to Iran's Paykan Tehran in five dramatic sets.
- This is the sixth game in the competition for Bolivar, who hold a 2-3 win-lose record.
- Bolivar have won the South American Club Championship once in 2010.
UPCN San Juan- UPCN San Juan are two-time bronze medallist (2014 and 2015) in the FIVB Club World Championship.
