2016 Men's Club World Championship match schedule confirmed

Lausanne, Switzerland, September 1, 2016 - The pools and match schedule for the FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship Betim 2016 have been confirmed. The tournament, which features clubs representing the five continental confederations, will take place from October 19 to 23 at the Ginásio Divino Braga in Betim, Brazil.

In Group A, co-hosts and reigning world champions Sada Cruzeiro will take on 2015 European champions Zenit Kazan and a club representing the NORCECA Confederation, still to be confirmed. In Group B, co-hosts Minas Tênis Clube will play 2015 Asian champions Taichung Bank from Chinese Taipei and African representatives Tala’ea El Gaish SC from Egypt.

The first match of the competition will start at 17.00 local time on Wednesday, October 19 and see Taichung Bank play Tala'ea El Geish in Group B. That match will be followed by the Group A encounter between Sada Cruzeiro and Zenit Kazan at 20.00.
